Our story began with the much-loved Crusoes Coffee Shop, evolved into Castaway Catering, and today continues to thrive stronger than ever under our new name: Crusoes Catering. Same team. Same great food. A sharper focus.
We’ve always been diverse — from beach cafés to black-tie banquets — and now we’re streamlining to do what we do best: crafting unforgettable food experiences built on flavour, service, and care.
The Team
Roger Robinson and Craig McGlinchey
Both Chefs, each bringing different strengths to the table.
Roger focuses on
flavour, detail, and finesse of every dish, ensuring consistency, creativity, and outstanding taste.
Craig leads on
sourcing, logistics, and operations, securing the best local produce. Making sure everything runs seamlessly from prep to plate.
A passion for wine and food
Both Roger and Craig hold WSET certifications in food and drink, with Roger holding Advanced WSET qualifications in wines and spirits. His deep understanding of pairings — from fine wines to craft beers and local ales — ensures every menu can be perfectly matched to the occasion.

On the day, Roger ensures every dish looks as good as it tastes, while Craig keeps the timing seamless and the service flowing.
